Vehicle Storage.
Here at Retro Custom, we understand that not everyone has a nice warm garage to store their classic Volkswagen. Many Volkswagen owners worry about deterioration of their pride and joy during the long cold winter months when left exposed to the harsh elements of the British weather.
We offer three different storage packages to give you peace of mind knowing your vehicle is tucked away safe and sound. With a range of storage options from simple maintained safekeeping to fully air temperature controlled vehicle storage you can rest assured that your pride and joy is in safe hands.
The advantage of storing your vehicle with a classic Volkswagen specialist is not only the luxury of knowing your vehicle is in the right hands, but also that you have access to Retro Custom's full range of services right on your vehicle's doorstep.
At Retro Custom, we also understand the effects of long term storage on your vehicle so as standard, the brakes are operated fortnightly and your battery is kept fully charged and maintained. Also, before collection after any prolonged storage period, every vehicle receives a fuel line safety check to ensure that your fuel lines have not deteriorated and are in safe condition.
To allow us to offer you the best service possible, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to remove your vehicle from storage. If you choose the advanced service package and your MOT expires while your vehicle in storage, you will benefit from our express MOT service where we will MOT your vehicle within five working days of notification of your vehicle being taken out of storage.

Basic Vehicle Storage
This is our basic base package. Your vehicle is kept in a full ready-to-go state with the vehicle's main battery kept fully charged. Every four weeks the vehicle is started and the brakes are tested. This service costs £100 plus VAT per month.
Maintained Vehicle Storage
Your vehicle is kept in a full ready-to-go state and the vehicle's main battery is kept fully charged. Every fortnight the vehicle is driven around our compound and the brakes and electrics are checked and tested. The vehicle is stored under a supplied car cover and is parked on tyre-savers. The vehicle receives an off-ground 20 point check before every collection to make sure the vehicle is fully roadworthy. This service costs £120 per month plus VAT.
Advanced Vehicle Storage
The vehicle is kept in a temperature and moisture controlled air chamber and is kept in a ready-to-go state and the main battery is kept fully charged. Every fortnight the vehicle is removed from the chamber and driven around the compound and the brakes and electrics are checked and tested. The vehicle is parked on tyre savers and the vehicle receives and off-ground 20 point vehicle check before every collection to make sure the vehicle is roadworthy. Your vehicle has MOT priority and benefits from quick MOT turnaround during peak times during the summer season. This service is £155 pus VAT per month.
